Price data is informational only
Prices on this site come from third-party sources: gold-api.com for the gold spot price, and COMEX gold futures via Yahoo Finance for charts and history. The site is rebuilt every 6 hours, headline figures may update in your browser while a page is open, and prices may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. They are provided for information only. They are not an offer to buy or sell anything and must not be the sole basis for any transaction. Always confirm live pricing with the seller before you trade.
Units
Unless stated otherwise, a "pound" on this site means the avoirdupois pound of 453.59237 grams, a unit of weight, and an "ounce" of gold means the troy ounce of 31.1034768 grams. A pound therefore holds 14.583 troy ounces. "Pound" never means the British currency: every price on this site is in US dollars. Applying a figure from this site in a different unit will give a wrong result.
Stale data
If a data source is unavailable, the site keeps showing the last good data with its original timestamp rather than an empty page or an estimate. Please check the timestamp beside any figure.
Calculator results are estimates
Our calculators apply arithmetic to figures you supply and to the published spot price. The "how much gold can I buy" calculator shows what a budget would buy at the spot price, or at a premium you enter; it is a ceiling, not what any seller will deliver for that money. The premium calculator depends entirely on the price and product you enter. Neither result is a quote, an appraisal or an offer.
Premium ranges
Typical premium ranges on this site are drawn from published industry sources and change with market conditions. They are not quotes from any seller, including our sponsored partner.
Third-party offers
A promotional offer shown on this site, such as Goldco's free-silver offer, is the third party's own. We reproduce it with its published terms. It may change or end without notice, it is not a promise by this site, and whether an order qualifies is decided by Goldco.
